Unlocking the potential of human capital

Join Leidar at 17:00 CET on Thursday 23 January in the SDG Tent at the World Economic Forum 2025, to discuss Harnessing Human Capital in an Intelligent Age.

Leidar is convening global leaders from across a range of sectors to explore the critical role of social responsibility in business strategy and performance. This session will highlight how investing in human capital contributes to developing resilient societies and meeting the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.

The ‘Social’ component of ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) has often been overlooked. However, it is very clear that prioritising social responsibility leads to increased consumer trust, employee retention and improved business performance. The World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting theme is “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age”. Our event, aligning with that theme, will showcase how organisations can harness the power of human capital – including employees, stakeholders and local communities, to drive success and create positive societal impact.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Sahil Tesfu (Chief Strategy & Sustainability Officer, Essity)
  • Karl Schmedders (Professor of Finance, IMD)
  • Scott Weber (President and CEO, Peaceinvest)

The session will be moderated by Leidar’s Deputy CEO Lukasz M Bochenek

This is a great opportunity to learn about the importance of social impact, connect with peers and contribute to shaping a more equitable and sustainable future. Join us as we seek to unlock the potential of human capital to drive both business success and positive societal change.

The event will be at the SDG Tent at 17:00CET
