Kathrine Astrup new MD for Leidar Norway
Kathrine Astrup (left) is appointed as MD for Leidar Norway. She will have a key ally in Mari Finnestad (right), who heads up the successful film team in Norway. Both Kathrine and Mari bring strong international credentials and they are joined up in supporting Nordic-based businesses with effective international communications and positioning.
I am pleased to announce that Kathrine Astrup will take over as Managing Director of Leidar Norway, effective immediately.
Her appointment will mean that we align our business in Norway, more firmly, with being an international and focused boutique consultancy. The Nordic region is home of several ambitious international businesses. With our international offices in Geneva, London, Brussels, Dubai, Singapore, Washington and New York, we are well placed to serve the internationally focused businesses in the Nordic region, as well as help international companies position themselves in Norway and the Nordics.
Kathrine has exactly the right education and experience to develop our business in Norway. Kathrine has a BA in International Relations from Tufts University, MSc in European Studies from the Norwegian Business school (BI) and MEB in Business and Marketing from Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management. She was an associate director at Citigate Dewe Rogerson in London from 1998 to 2003, and then a consultant at Axxept in Norway for seven years. For nearly six years, she led the development of a family company, which through her leadership established itself as a leading wine producer in Italy.
Per Bjørkum who joined Leidar as MD two and a half years ago will join another communication consultancy in Norway.
I would like to thank Per for his enthusiastic leadership over the past two years. He joined the Norway team in challenging times. I have appreciated his endless positive spirt and I am sure he will be successful in the future. Per leaves at his own will and I wish him good luck!
